Here we have Windows XP's IP screens useful for setting an IP address.
Most routers work with "Obtain an IP Address Automatically"
some routers require you to specify an IP and this is first on our troubleshooting list.
The "Configure" button allows you to further select "Media Type". Set to 10 bt to effectivly slow down your connection speed and is useful where there is weak or lengthy cables to router or network switch involved.
